BANI -In a bid to be named as the Watermelon Capital of the North, the
local government here had lined-up several activities for the
celebration of the “Pakwan Festival” on February 6 to 9 to promote their
best-tasting giant watermelons to tourists who will come during the
celebration.

They celebrating “Malangsi Festival” annually which the main event is the “Kalutan tan Gayaga ed Dalan”.
Binmaley, Pangasinan
(Sigay Festival)
Binmaley town is now set to celebrate the “Sigay Festival 2014″. The term “sigay” is a Pangasinan dialect word which means to harvest.

The Puto Festival is an annual event that celebrates a native delicacy known by its famous name as Puto.
Mapandan, Pangasinan
(Pandan Festival)
Mapandan was formerly a barrio of Mangaldan. It was before located in
the hilly regions of the south where there used to be plenty of “pandan”
a native palm whose leaves will add aroma to cooked rice. The leaves
also are stripped and woven into mats. That’s why they call it Mapandan.
Pozorrubio, Pangasinan
(Patupat Festival)
This has been held during the month of January. It serves in a long
table where the people and visitors of Pozorrubio can join and taste the
sweetness of the Patupat.
